This was the picture I drew for Degari as my part of the Portal Secret Santa on Tumblr (^0^)/
I really hope she likes it x3

I also made a Video of the Drawing on Youtube. It shows the picture Layer by Layer and my usual procedure of Digital Drawings :3 I was asked to make one again so hopefully you find it enjoyable^^

Drawing this picture was SO much fun ^0^
I'm a huge Portal Fan for at least one year now, but sadly due to all those commissions I can't find the time to draw decent Fanart for the game, even though I have a lot of ideas and sketches^^"
That's why I took the Portal Secret Santa as an opportunity, which kind of forces me to draw xD
And I was really lucky Degari requested exactly the kind of Portal Art I just love! Rather Dark things including Wheatley or GLaDOS, or something fun with Atlas and P-Body ^0^ I made quick, small composition sketches of a few ideas I had. I liked 6 of them and honestly I would've loved to draw all of them for Degari! Unfortunately I had to choose one uxu The only good idea with Atlas & P-Body was the first to go. In the end I had two ideas of GLaDOS. One very realistic drawing of her getting ripped from her chassis into this red pitch and trying to get out one last time but robotic arms holding her back and then this rather a bit surrealistic drawing of Caroline and GLaDOS.
Also Degari requested the original robotic forms of the Characters! I'm so lucky since most humanized forms of Wheatley and the others are in a rather cartoony style which would have been difficult to draw to me^^" I love all designs by others but when it comes to drawing myself I really prefer drawing the original designs! :3
Hopefully I can find the time to draw a few more Portal Fanarts ^0^

Anyway, this one was pretty difficult, that's what made drawing it so enjoyable though^^
I draw a lot of semi-realistic and realistic sketches and also enjoy it, yet I prefer drawing in an Manga-ish Style and usually only finish and upload those drawings. So this is the first time I actually colored a semi-realistic human, digitally not to mention. I think I had most difficulties with the plants though aside form Caroline's Skin. uxu I love drawing electronics, cables and such but as soon as it comes to organic things I fail pretty hard OTL
The Composition was pretty easy though, as well as the Backgrounds. Drawing the cables took some time as well as the hair but I think it came out okay^^
The Colors match very well by accident and add to the composition I think this is the aspect I like most about this drawing ^0^
There are a LOT of small things I'd like to correct but I think I'm finished. I usually have a point when I know the drawing is finished and I reached it at 160 Layers xD

I hope the message or the meaning of the picture is clear...?
It's about Caroline and how she became GLaDOS by force. That's why there is blood running down the cables from Caroline to GLaDOS. Also above the line which separates those two everything is organic and natural which changes to the Aperture Science environment, but since GLaDOS still has some traits of her former self left in here there are still some organic things left here and there. Also it looks pretty o_o
There are some more things I put thoughts into but I don't want to spoil everything^^

I can't wait to see and read all the other entries of the Portal Secret Santa ^0^
